This page turns a WebP image into a JPG in your browser. JPG is the most widely accepted format for forms, email, and older software, so a WebP that will not open somewhere becomes a JPG here. Choose your WebP file, the workbench re-encodes it as JPG, and you compare the two before downloading. Everything runs on your device; nothing is sent to us. Crop, resize, or compress first if the destination also asks for a particular size.
- Output: lossy. JPG is a lossy format, so the re-encode trades a little detail for broad compatibility.
- Transparency: WebP can carry transparency, but JPG cannot, so transparent areas are filled with a white background.
- Animation: if the WebP is animated, only the first frame is converted; JPG is a single still image.
- Metadata: re-encoding in your browser drops the original EXIF, GPS, and camera metadata.
- Quality control: the re-encode uses a fixed quality and keeps your dimensions; judge it with the before/after preview.
